Shire GPs IT Support Services (OTIiS)

Sutherland Division has developed an IT Support Service for local general practice.  The name of the service is OTIiS (The Operational, Technical and Information Services of the Sutherland Division of General Practice) and it is based on a successful model which has operated in the Illawarra Division of General Practice for the past 10 years. 

Our main focus is providing IT services to our members and supporting existing and new programs with expert advice on information technology and information management.  Members of the division will enjoy a discounted hourly rate for our IT service and access to national and international wholesalers for competitively priced hardware and software. 

The range of OTIiS Services includes:

  • Helpdesk – technical support for the following software and hardware:
  • Front desk – Pracsoft, Medilink and e-claims
  • Clinical – Best Practice and Medical Director 2 and 3
  • Operating system – Microsoft platforms
  • Office – Microsoft Office Suite
  • Argus Secure Messaging
  • All IBM compatible hardware
  • Purchase of Computer Equipment - Helpdesk staff will negotiate special pricing on all computer equipment, including hardware, software, peripherals, etc. through selected suppliers.  OTIiS staff will provide written quotations for the purchase of all computer equipment.
  • Maintenance packages – the maintenance package has been developed to assist general practices to maintain their IT systems to current accreditation standards as well as increasing eligibility for PIP payments.  The maintenance package aims to keep a practice’s IT systems running at peak efficiency, increasing longevity and productivity and will be tailored to suit your IT setup.
