ADVERSE EVENTS FOLLOWING IMMUNISATION (AEFI) In NSW, adverse events following immunisation should be reported to the local public health unit which will follow up with the patient and ensure the information is recorded on the national AEFI surveillance system. Our local PHU is South Eastern Sydney Illawarra PHU (Randwick office): Immunisation Adverse Events Clinics in Sydney. Click here (PDF 23KB) for information. Immunisation providers can ring 9845 1433 (The Children’s Hospital at Westmead) for telephone advice about AEFI in children and adults. More info on services at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
