Patient feedback – 4th edition standards
Under the 4th edition accreditation standards, the standards state that at least once every 3 years, the practice actively seeks feedback about patients experiences using a validated patient experience questionnaire that has been approved by the RACGP or developing and using an individual practice specific method that adheres to the requirements outlined in the RACGP Learning from our patients resource. Currently, there are two RACGP approved patient feedback tools:

Patient Accreditation and Improvement Survey (PAIS) - developed by Client-Focused Evaluation Programs. See the following fact sheet for more information and costings. WORD (56 KB)

Height Adjustable Beds
Under the 4th edition standards practices must have at least one height adjustable bed. The RACGP has a fact sheet regarding height adjustable beds which highlights the rationale behind the change and also details about the specifications required for practices.  Height adjustable beds are available from many Medical Supply retailers.
